| $57,750 in Grants Will Be Awarded this Year |

Anne Morgan, chairperson of the foundation, said the deadline for applying for the grants is Nov. 5. The tentative date to announce the awards is Dec. 19. A public information meeting on the grant application process will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 27 in the Davis County Middle School Commons. In order to be eligible, Morgan said groups must have a 501(c)3 tax letter from the Internal Revenue Service or be a government entity with a 170b label or join with a group that has one of these two distinctions. Areas of emphasis for this year’s grants are arts and culture, health and human services, community betterment, recreation and environment, education, and youth development.

The Davis County Community Foundation will award $57,750 in
funds later this year, it was announced this week.
