In order to be eligible, foundation president Anne Morgan said, groups must have a 501(c)3tax letter from the Internal Revenue Service or be a government entitywith a 170b label or join with a group that has one of these twodistinctions. Areas of emphasis for this year’s grants are arts and culture, healthand human services, community betterment, recreation and environment,education, and youth development.
